statement
In a world overcome by digital communication, painting, for me, has become a way to connect with the human experience in a physical manner. My works address the lack of intimacy between individuals that express themselves through social medias rather than human-to-human contact. Through the visceral nature of paint, alongside the direct eye contact, the viewer is drawn in and confronted with the desire to interact on a more personal level while the disinterested figures within the work combat any such connection.
