statement
My work deals with the connections between geography, environmental forces and man. Each painting is a link between ourselves as people and the world which surrounds us. No paintings, however, depict the individual in a representational way as a subject within the work. Instead, the work shows the influence of people on geography, on their surroundings, and in various occurrences. This leaves the viewer free to question why the people are not there, what events are taking place and thus imagine themselves within the work as the missing human subjects.
