statement
Lights and shadow play an important role in my works. I chose white oil, when light play and interact with shadows at its best. Similar to deafness it has no colour, and because my perception of sound is lacking, I am adapted to reading lips and body gestures with ease. I consider my paintings a practical visual training tool by showing the viewers there is more to see than just white paint, there is action created by form. From colours to no colours to pure action, my creativity is brought out from within; what I quickly react to and how at the moment of painting. For the viewers, It is an exercise to strengthen a conversation.
