statement
I love the feeling of looking out over the city, especially from the top of the mountain or from a high rooftop, where the tension and energy of the human mass merges into the vast sky and the distant landscape. It's the kind of feeling I want to create in the studio. Painting a view, making it make sense, whether from imagination or from a photograph, makes me feel like I'm tapping into something universal.
