statement
'Traces' is about memory, the passage of time, and the photograph's role in shaping our experience of loss. This series was created by removing the subjects from found photographs. Like the memories of passed loved ones, the reflections and shadows that remain vary in distortion and degree of clarity. These photographic mementos of the departed are left with only vestiges of the lives they once captured.
