I was trying to do one portrait of a friend. I have always been drawn to eggs and so started drawing his image with pencil on emptied egg shells. I couldn't stop. I did quite a few so I put them in an egg carton. I then realized that no matter what I did with the individual egg drawings, at that moment that strange gathering of my friend's many faces WAS the work of art. I photographed it and here it is: a memento of a really great moment in the creative process of drawing.
