statement
These drawings were made as studies for paintings. The paintings depict futile experiments performed by a narcissist who can't think clearly, yet has good intentions. The spaces are kept free from clutter and his tools are spaced in a very obsessive compulsive manner. The drawings depict these tools in his pristine workspace.
I do these drawings because they directly inform the mark making in the paintings. Although they are studies, I like them a lot. They may display the content found in the paintings, but I think they are capable of standing alone.
