As with all of my figure work this drawing was executed exclusively from the live model, in this case a total of 10 hours over several days. For drawings that serve as a pre-study to a larger painting, such as this one, I always take notes on the drawing, recording useful details that aren't in the drawing (such as color notes, highlight placement, anatomical reminders, etc).
