statement
Drawing, more than painting, more than sculpture, is a form of inquiry, a way of posing questions. The immediacy of the process makes drawing, like the notebook of the scientist, a near-perfect method of recording visual observations and organizing them in a coherent manner, and, to my delight, the answers to the questions posed are often not what one would predict.
