statement
Maybe it is seeing oneself in the other or another, maybe it is spending time and giving attention, but I think of my work as sites or propositions to reveal moments of being in this world with, within and without.
Through interventions of space, place, pace and language I scour for failures in order, for possibilities of ambiguity and play and for animation through absence to reveal moments of meaning making.
Using natural and found materials, such as clay, wood, graphite, wool, stones, used and found objects I create drawings as sculptures and installations that act as emotive interlocutors – intimately and incisively revealing territories of site, origin, material, movement, transformation and absence.
