statement
The cyclical exchange of life and death is the backbone of this series. The process of observational drawing functions as a way to redirect one's ever-cheated vision and to contemplate the varied forms of loss. The funereal presence of the animal fur offers a vestige of the once-living being, which simultaneously constitutes a corporeality, and an ephemeral warmth amidst darkness.
