statement
Drawing has always been central to my work. Over the years it has evolved from a traditional approach to one focusing on installation and the use of a three-dimensional line; a line that casts its own shadow and can live out in the world – in the space in which it is placed.
Often temporary in nature my installation drawings take advantage of the linear quality of the natural materials used – dogbane, daylily, raspberry cane – while also referencing the act of drawing and the source of the lines – the landscape.
