statement
"I have always been attracted to the anatomies of humans, animals, machines and biological habitats. When I first draw, my marks are highly analytical with the purpose of dissecting the underlying substrates that give each individual object its structure. The process produces relationships between spines, linchpins, cogs and intercellular scaffolds all sharing a linear dynamic. I now explore potential integrations of these anatomies, patterned formations, and kinematical movements. The result is a metaphoric assembly. In the end my creative challenge is to arrive at a meaningful graphic choreography. If I am successful in this assembly, the viewer grows curious about the metamorphosis before them and becomes a welcomed engaged participant."
