The beauty of photography is that it can make the seemingly irrelevant, relevant.

The following image is from a series of twenty-six photographs revealing the home of an aging man whose wife had left him years before. He never redecorated, leaving all the furnishings and feminine touches to patina with age.

The home had been sold and was gutted for renovation a few days after the images were taken.
