statement
The series Our Epidural Currency examines the forgotten and neglected connection between our tactile bodies and wild nature. Within the compilation of technological evolution, the basic conditions of being human have changed, in that our physical bodies no longer play and essential roll in our survival.
The collection of works on paper fuses images of human organs with budding flowers, ribbons and butterflies to appear as a singular functioning unit. These drawn objects attempt to both recognize the inevitable connection between nature and the human body, as well as identify their awkward and alien-like relationship in our current time.
